Virtual Human
Just read about this possibility of having a virtual human. I always thought this will be the ultimate goal of systems biology. However I have reservation on the actual use of the 'tool'. I sincerely hope it will be for the betterment of the human beings.

Human Proteinpedia
Finally... a central place for researchers to annotate and share protein information. I just read about the article in Feb 2008 Nature Biotechnology. The long list of authors with the who and who in the proteomics fields should enable Human Proteinpedia to be useful and updated.

Rosetta@home is shaping protein structures
Just read this news from Nature... The shape of protein structures to come
David Baker from University of Washington is reporting result in modelling a protein using just the amino acids. This is done using Rosetta@home program which taps on computing power of 150,000 computers. Cool... modelling may soon see light.

Just attended a solid session on Mashup and heard about the following:
Google Mashup Editor; Yahoo Pipes; IBM QEDWiki; Microsoft Popfly.
Was wondering if there is any mashup application in bioinformatics and found the following:

A pipe to search bioinformatics journals.
